Make Stains Vanish Using Hydrogen Peroxide & Dawn - We had a red wine on carpet/couch incident two weekends ago (note to parents: don't put a glass of wine on a coffee table. ever.) and this worked like magic. Seriously - there is NO evidence of the spill, and it was quite a spill too! This also works for clothes. Recipe: Mix one part Dawn dishwashing liquid (the plain old blue kind, in the big bottle that usually sits on your sink), with two parts hydrogen peroxide (available at any drug store), pour it directly on the stain, and watch it disappear like.
